James River Special Education is the result of the merger of two special education units: Buffalo Valley Special Education and Dickey-LaMoure Special Education. We are still two units, arranged differently. James River Special Education consists of the rural schools. Jamestown Special Education Unit consists of the schools in Jamestown. Together, we form the James River Special Education Cooperative and work together to improve services to children.
